ACCEPTABLE FORMATS:
We accept high quality vector art by e-mail or upload. Vector art is "resolution independent", which means it can be enlarged without affecting the quality of your imprint. Minimum font size for printing is 7 point.
SOFTWARE: We stay up-to-date on applications you like to use: Adobe Illustrator [eps, ai and pdf], Adobe Photoshop [psd, tiff and jpeg], Adobe Acrobat Reader [pdf] QuarkXPress [qxd] CorelDraw [ai, cdr].
RESOLUTION: Must be at least 1200 dpi at 100% of final size.
FONTS: Convert your text into 'curves' or 'outlines' before e-mailing a graphic file.
ART CHANGES: We recommend your artwork be created by a graphic designer. At no extra charge, Bic can set copy in one of our many fonts. Artwork that needs converting will be charged a nominal conversion and you will receive a copy of the converted artwork for future needs.
Art Transfer:
E-mail to images@bicpens.com. Also, be sure to fax a copy of the art layout to 888-304-0051 to confirm the imprint. This will ensure all correct information is contained in your imprint.
Sending disks:
* 3 ½" floppy or ZIP disks formatted for (PC) Computers preferred. Call for other media.
* Please convert all type to outlines or include the Macintosh fonts used in the art. Send screen and printer font files.
* It is necessary to include the original files of placed images (i.e. Corel Draw, EPS, TIFF, etc.) in a folder.
* Include a printed copy with your disk. This will ensure all correct information is contained on the disk.
* Files may be compressed using Disk Stuffit, or PKZip.
Important Things to Consider:
Are all place image/supporting files (EPS, TIFF, etc. files) included? If not, we will not be able to correct problems, the art may print strangely or not at all, and final print quality cannot be guaranteed.
Have all fonts been converted to outlines? If not, please include both screen and printer fonts (Mac) in the archive.
IMPORTANT! Has a hard copy been faxed to us at 888-304-0051 to show what the art should look like?If no hard copy is provided, a paper proof may be required and there may be delays and an extra charge. |
